I don't remember who said 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever', but i collect books, arts, antiques and beautiful things and feel good surrounded by them at home.
I like to create as well. I made a series of statues called 'Genetic Engineering'. Made out of bones. Too many roadkill on the streets these days, sigh...I used to work in the obscure and legendary underground nightclub 'Cinderella's Ballroom' in Antwerp in the eighties. Those were the days ...In 91 i spawned a son, Ezra. The light of my life. I have been taking him with me to gigs since he was three years old. No wonder he's also into punk. Add to My Profile | More VideosAnother submap is for Gwar, the live pics were taken in 97 in Brussels. The autographs were gathered at their gigs in 2000 and 2005 in Hof ter Loo in Borgerhout. My kid got burned in 1999 and his big wish was to see Gwar live. So when they came to perform in Belgium again, i called Peter from Lintfabriek who was in the organisation. He allowed us to come and see them and let us backstage. Out of respect for the bands image i didn't take my camera to make backstage pictures. But ezra did get their autographs ... and five years later again. The Gwar members remembered him from five years earlier and were pleased to see him again. He was the first kid ever to attend a gig of them. Even their own children haven't seen them playing yet. Gwar and the missus who were touring with them are all lovely people and will keep a big place in mine and my kids heart FOR EVER. And they told me i was the coolest mum on earth :) which made me very proud ofcourse... The Gwar T-shirt given to ezra by Dave is his favorite, along with the Capital Scum one.Another submap is for Agnostic Front whom we got to meet in Hof ter Loo in 2000 as well. It has been a favorite band of my son since he was about three years old, so Peter allowed us in again. (Thank you Peter Daems, i love you !!!) At rehearsal they played 'Gotta Go' especially for the kid, because it's his favorite song of them. It was Vinnie's birthday that gig and he even shared a part of his birthdaycake with my son and his mate. Ezra and Sam also were invited on stage to perform 'the fart' and were applauded enthousiasticly. Those bandmembers have a special place in our hearts as well.To all the people i've met over the years: thank you for the good times and friendship.
To Nanz and Olke (White Collar Crime Club): many, many thanx for helping me raising Ezra for a couple of years, you're in a big place in our hearts FOREVER! You'll be great parents for the baby that will be born this year, congrats!Hope to meet some old and new friends here on myspace.Oh and i have to add this:I am a Belgicist and royalist.
