I'd like to meet:

Lovely Rita! This gentle, kind girl is named after a rescuer who championed her cause for weeks. Rita has been used as a pit-bull fighting bait dog and breeder her whole life. Then, dumped at the South LA shelter, used up and tired, and rescued the day she was to be euthanized. Despite all she has been through- she maintains a loving, patient, cheerful spirit towards humans and other dogs. This dog is a gem! She is truly all love. She has no reason to love people after the horrors she has been through- but she puts all that behind her and greets everyone with a kiss and a tail wag. She is beyond charming, immediately loveable, and a happy goofball. We know she is a middle-aged pit bull who doesn't have the look people usually go for- but please find it in your heart to spread the word about her and help us find her a loving home she deserves! She will be forever thankful!
