About Me

Dancer Magazine (November 2005), in a profile spotlighting Stephan as a dancer/choreographer to watch, Lisa M. Browder writes:
"Stephan Choiniere's act in Zumanity at New York New York Hotel in Las Vegas is called body2body, a clever appellation for the sinuous and seamless lines produced by the duets intertwined bodies. It's a brilliant act that requires not only physical strength and extreme flexibility, but also an artist's sense of form and line. Stephan has mastered that list and, as someone proficient in gymnastics, dance, music and painting, one thing is certain: he has earned the title Artist, and thats with a capital A."

Stephan Choiniere, world-class acrobat, dancer and aerial artist, formerly of Cirque du Soleil, brings a measure of higher consciousness to the movement arts. Initially trained in gymnastics at the elite level, he went on to develop as a dancer, studying ballet, modern and urban freestyle. With the addition of varied circus skills and martial arts, Stephan naturally began to fuse an artistic amalgam.
Having reached the apex of achievement in circus with the act he created and performed for Cirque du Soleil, Stephan wondered what could be the next level of mastery in his art form. In addition to accumulating added technique for the proficiency of his craft, he desired more creativity, and most importantly, meaning to the process of making and performing works of art. His creative recipe for the stage has included awe-inspiring skills with fluid phrasing and emotive story telling, and more recently, has been guided in a new dimension of expression:
Raising the bar for himself and others, Stephan now promotes spontaneous inspiration to illuminate a path of creativity and growth. In his workshops at home and abroad, he uses the principle of divine impulse as the guidepost. Through the course of his facilitating creative movement, he has discovered playful directives that sidestep the self-conscious inner-judge, to enable the soul-artist within.
Stephan’s life-long passion for aesthetics started with music, literature and the visual arts. He earned his BFA in painting and drawing, from Tyler School of Art, while attending Temple University (Philadelphia) on a gymnastics scholarship. He models for fine artists and travels extensively as a teacher and performer.

“…if true understanding is to be attained, then it must be comprehensive, and therefore all the facts must be considered side-by-side: the light and the dark, the good and the evil. However, many people demonstrate a tendency to repudiate the reality of evil in the world and, therefore, to condemn as negative any factual message that seeks to reveal the whole picture. Such a subjective attitude often gives occasion to the complete and unreasonable rejection of an important or even essential truth which, nonetheless, may appear as ominous and affronting to the brittle, reactive and unprepared mind. Yet it is only by shining a light into darkness that we are able to see clearly and so deal with the shadow side of life in a positive way. It is understanding that transforms us, not merely the desire for change, and until a man obtains a thorough understanding of the nature of evil and so becomes equipped to respond wisely to its challenges, he will necessarily be detrimentally affected by it. Until we truly see, acknowledge and accept what is, we cannot move forward from where we are; such is a basic law of life.”

"In truth there is no evil in the world. There is only a consciousness dwelling in people that is more enlightened and a consciousness that is not as enlightened. There are choices people make to not allow their consciousness to change, to not allow themselves to grow. They become convinced that where they are is it. That choice is to remain ignorant and that is perhaps the closest thing to an evil."
-Shakyamuni Siddhartha Gautama (The Buddha). Excerpt taken from "The Old Soul's Guide" by Anamika
“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
~Carl Jung
"It is especially imperative at this time to understand why we should never fight evil, for such violence only compounds our own problem. Rebellious thoughts of any kind harm the thinker and dissipate the power to overcome iniquity by righteousness. All aggressive reactions must be stayed, for in such reaction the truth of any situation can no longer be seen, and the aggressor becomes blinded to reality."

"Whoever is in conflict with anything through resistance, worry, fear, aversion, dependence or selfish desire of it is automatically of the old to the same degree as that conflict."

The Codex Alimentarius is a threat to the freedom of people to choose natural healing and alternative medicine and nutrition. Ratified by the World Health Organization, and going into Law in the United States in 2009, the threat to health freedom has never been greater.
This is the first part of a series of talks by Dr. Rima Laibow MD, available on DVD from the Natural Solutions Foundation, an non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about how to stop Codex Alimentarius from taking away our right to freely choose nutritional health.
