Nemanja

Nemanja is a Jupiterian brought to earth on 07.07.1979. in Novi Sad- Serbia. He was taken by music during his first days on this planet and 12 years after he found a broken guitar with only two strings, laying around the house. He started strumming. His parents got him another guitar very soon after. However,it was the serpentry of Slash,the electricity of Angus Young,the geniocity of Jimmy Page,the voodoo magicianship of Jimmy Hendrix,the speed of Kirk Hammet that showed him that glorius-She-Guitar is the One. He discovered Indian music through the beauty of "Shakti' record-"Handfull of beauty" and incredible virtuosity of John Mc Laughlin. Few years after,he was confronted with the sounds of Jazz through his wonderful sisters Marina and Goca and his great friend-musician and painter- Beka. After hearing Pat Metheny,Dizzy Gillespie... he was definetely on the way . The furious happenings in Serbia in 90's that culminated with bombing of the same made a difference and so he decided to go and follow the path of Music around the world. He went to Amsterdam to study music in and out of CVA and after a year he started his first project-NEMANIAS.It was a Balkan influenced music and it carried the feel of his roots. During the first days of Amsterdam he met another alien Raj-one of his best friends and started a band called-Neanderthal alien(www.neanderthalalien.com).Soon after, they made a one month tour in US and their first recording. After few months they met again in Poland but and they made their first record -"Coming down". He started another band in Amsterdam called -VERSTARKER (www.verstaerker.us) with his friends and colleges Phillip and Gordan and he made his singing debut. Soon after he started a solo-singer songwriter kind of a project. Some of these Jupiterian samples you can hear and see on this page. December 2006 he went to India to play and study indian classical music. Nemanja is always on the move so don't be suprised if u see him in a time and place when and where u least expect him.His views are intergalactic and so is his journey.
