Rick Turnpaugh - Texas guitar man! Hey ya'll!! The song that is playing is from our new cd, CRASH LANDING and it is called SIGNALS FROM OUTER SPACE aka/ SOS. It is one of my tunes and features my brother ROB TURNPAUGH on bass & DOC SHUFFIELD on percussion. I am playing all the guitars and the first solo using a Fender strat through a Kendrick K SPOT amp (no pedals except an Area 51 Wow Wow on one track). The slide guitar is played by one of my Texas guitar heroes and long time friend DAVID ZYCHEK(AIRBORNE/NIGHT RANGER), who also produced the album. Another great friend & Texas blues/rock legend UNCLE JOHN TURNER (JOHNNY WINTER) sits in on drums for this track. It was an honor to have these guys play on this track... heck 'UNC' played at Woodstock!
