About Me

I'm a 65 year old psychiatrist and father of four young adult children (37, 28, 25, & 21) who is exploring running for the White House in 2008 because my children's and grandchildren's generations face a grim future.Most young people are totally SCREWED. Housing and education costs are through the roof while the buying power of earning is very weak. That's why young adults today often have to live with their parents, or share apartments.Hard to earn enough to get married and raise children. The economic pressures on young couples nowadays to make ends meet often puts so much strain on their relationships they drift apart and often divorce.The consequences of divorce, partcularly for men, are horrific. They usually lose meaningful contact with their children and influence in how they are raised. Divorced dads get turned into friendly uncles!Child support is usually so high divorced dads are pauperized.ALL THIS HAS HAPPENED BECAUSE WE'RE NOT GOVERNED BY GROWNUPS WHO CARE ABOUT AMERICA'S CHILDREN.Here's what wrong.1- millions of illegal immigrants drive down wages and take once good paying blue collar jobs (carpentry, plumbing, masonry, etc.).2- Rents are too high because illegal aliens consume afforable housing.3- The government is in the divorce business! States get a percentage of every child support dollar. Makes sense for them to promote family breakdown and squeeze divorced dads for everything they have. States also get subsidies to build and run the jails to house dads who can't pay.4- Unfair trade treaties send good American jobs and even entire industries overseas without ordinary Americans getting any benefits.I HAVE A PLAN TO CHANGE THINGS SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE A DECENT LIFE, ENJOY YOUR CHILDREN, AND ENSURE THEY HAVE A GOOD FUTURE.
