I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm 24 years old (my birthday being August 7th - buy me stuff! I demand it!), and a struggling writer. Having garnered a small cult following after putting up some of my short stories at FictionPress, I decided, drunk with power, to start a MySpace page in an effort to get the word out about my work/keep any fans I might have out there up to speed with what I'm doing lately/alienate a whole lot of people/command members of that cult I mentioned to go forth and destroy my enemies.THRILL to the news of my finally scraping up enough courage to submit work for publication! GASP IN AWE at how long it takes me to write one damn novel! SHIVER in ANTICI...PATION, when I tell you about a short story I've finally written after months of kicking it around in my head! FEEL APATHETIC when I try to plug that one small-press anthology my short story, "Christobel", appeared in, that nobody actually read! Enter - MY WORLD...

Help make me obscenely rich: buy the book I'm in, Akujunkan: The Infinite Process 2003 Anthology
And, for good measure, buy the magazine I'm in, too: Twisted Dreams Magazine: December 2006 Issue.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Publishers, other writers, anyone interesting, and the kind of mad scientist who can pull off spectacles, a blood-stained lab coat, and statements like "They all thought I was MAD back at the Academy!" in a suitably understated fashion. Whilst operating a doomsday device.

Incidentally, for anyone reading this as a result of my having sent you a Friend request: assume I did so because I actually did read your profile and think you're cool. I never, EVER spam. Scout's honour.

Nicely Done

In the last few days, I've received a couple of rejection slips (I swear those things are like buses - you wait ages for one to show up and then two show up at the same time). Both of t...

The Willows Magazine issue what I’m in: it’s here!

As those eloquent 20th-century philosophers, Badfinger, once invited the public, "If you want it, here it is. Come and get it.": I'm one of the "Other Literary Splendors", in case you're wondering: m...

"Can a 700-year-old Transylvanian find true love with a revolutionary Rysemian fish-woman?"

I just found out last night that Jody Scott, author of one of my favorite books ever and subsequently a big influence of mine, passed away on Christmas Eve last year. Scott was well-regarded when she...

Because it is stupid, and because it is my art

Rest easy once more, my children: I’ve found a new home. I move in four days’ time, and as a result, this house now looks as if a herd of ravening zombie wildebeest went stampeding through...
