About Me

You have been marked on my profile map!Bianchi has established himself as one of the elite Jazz Organists of today, performing throughout the U.S. and Europe with a venerable who’s who list of greats including Lou Donaldson, Alvin Queen, David “Fathead” Newman, Ralph Peterson Jr., Javon Jackson, Peter Bernstein, Terell Stafford, Jesse Davis, Joey DeFrancesco, Mark Whitfield, Sean Jones, Winnard Harper, Byron Landham, Eric Alexander and Larry Goldings. The Rochester, NY native has performed extensively since the age of twelve. His interest in music came very early in his life, initially guided, inspired and educated by his musical family. He has studied classical piano and theory at the preparatory department of The Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY) and earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance degree at The Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA).One of Pat’s early and most important influences was Joey DeFrancesco and his Columbia Records release "Live at the Five Spot". Pat said: "After hearing that CD and wearing it out, I knew I wanted to play the organ and it became my goal to figure out how to play it like that.” The years of intense study have paved the way for Bianchi to achieve many milestones in his career that have included performing with DeFrancesco on more than one occasion. After performing as a sideman on many CD's, Pat now 31 years of age, has recently recorded his first CD as a leader featuring guitarist Mark Whitfield and drummer Byron Landham. This impressive debut recording gained large amounts of attention on the airwaves across the U.S. appearing for over 8 consecutive weeks on the Jazz Week national radio charts. “East Coast Roots”, distributed by the Jazzed Media record label, continues to receive consistent airplay and glowing reviews worldwide.Currently residing in Denver, CO. Bianchi continues to propel his musical carrier forward. While maintaining an active national and international touring schedule, he is the instructor of Jazz Piano and other music courses at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Bianchi is working on his second trio recording and has partnered his talents with renowned drummer Ralph Peterson. Bianchi co-leads “The Unity Project” with Peterson. With plans of a recording and extensive touring in 2008, this band will pay tribute to the innovative jazz organist Larry Young and his Blue Note recording, “Unity”.
