About Me

Blue Avenue combines passionate vocals with ferocious hot club antics, fat bass grooves and stylish guitar sensibility. With a unique collaboration of instrumentation and a consistent blend of sonic hue, Blue Avenue continues to drive their sound into their own music, popular standards, jazz standards, bluesy melodies and current popular music. They are not to be missed.
Blue Avenue's first release, an extensive EP of all originals, screams variety and stylistic synergy. Led by sultry vocals, "The Other Side of the Tracks," plucks, bows, picks and strums along with intense fusion. Boasting infectious melodies supported by a solid groove, "The Other Side of the Tracks" flirts with traditional styles using an array of original palate teasing concoctions. Available online and at CD Baby in early May.
Blue Avenue is currently seeking acts touring in Denver and Boulder Colorado, who would like a solid, professional and fun acoustic group to open for them. Please contact us through myspace, or by email.
QUOTES:
'Blue Avenue's new album, "Other Side of the Tracks", is everything I want in a jazz album. The songs are original and catchy. The vocals are like butter. But most importantly, the musicianship is impeccable. These are clearly virtuosos doing it for the love of their music and the joy of their listeners. Highly recommended'.
"The music was beautiful, and they were incredibly accommodating with our requests. I cannot recommend them highly enough."
"It was great to hear such a wide variety of styles and songs. Most groups only stick to one thing."
