WISDOM COMES WITH EXPERIENCE

About Me

Jethaniel Nixon was born in Philadelphia, Pa and raised up in a musically gifted family from whence he had discovered his talent as a musician. Jethaniel, a.k.a. Thanny, had a sense of rhythm at the tender age of 6 years old. He played a variety of instruments such as drums, piano, woodwinds, brass, and any other instrument he could get his hands on. Well, Thanny played everything and at the age of 12, he decided to play the bass guitar. It became his main instrument. During Jethaniel's high school years, he chose select musicians to play in his own jazz band - Jethaniel played piano. His jazz band made appearances at most of the events in the Philadelphia school district. Thanny has a wide variety of talent. Giving bass lessons and mentoring to young musicians - it’s all-apart of his dream. Not soon after Thanny had graduated in 1990, by word of mouth, he was referred to the well renowned Prince of Gospel - John P.Kee. Two years later, Jethaniel moved on and recorded an album with classical Gospel artist Richard Smallwood.
Thanny elevated his career by taking on stage plays with MOVIE WRITER OF FIRST SUNDAY (DAVID E. TALBERT). He took part in the arrangements of a few of Mr. Talbert’s compositions on the "Mr. Right Now" DVD and he also toured the stage play "His Woman, His Wife". Jethaniel worked with various artists and producers over the past 15+ years. He has done studio sessions with Kelly Price, Musiq Soulchild, Grammy Award winner James Poyser, Dre and Vidal, Gamble and Huff (Motown), and many others. Most of his live recording sessions were within his hometown that included choirs and new artists in the Philly/New Jersey area. He did a session on bass for actor and Artist D’Atra Hicks” CD "F.inally My Time”.
Jethaniel performed on TV shows like Jay Leno, Carson Daily, Conan O’Brien, Orlando Jones, and the Mike Bullard show in Canada. He toured with artists Musiq, Le Nubians from Paris France, to name a few, and performed on London's TV shows and venues as well.
After touring, Jethqniel bought studio equipment and utilized copious amounts of time building and studying the art of engineering. He created his own publishing company through ASCAP and began to test his writing skills for other up and coming artists. Finally, he began working on his own project. Through writing and production of the album, with the help of some talented musicians and family, Jethaniel's project took on the most challenging paths through his continued journey toward musical success. He has more music in store from where this CD comes from...Enjoy! There's No doubt that Jethaniel's music will inspire many people all over the world... When everything else fails, We ALL still have a song to sing. Where would we be without music?

Sounds Like: THIS ALBUM WILL HAVE MUSICAL PERSONALITY. THE SONGS WERE WRITTEN ACCORDING TO HOW I FELT THAT MOMENT. IT HAS SOME FUNK, JAZZ, AMBIENT, AND RNB, SMOOTH JAZZ. ENJOY.
