This prolific song writter, arranged, and musician is now honing his producing skills with this unique and fresh effort.. If you are moved by sophisticated, thought provoking lyrics with a life-changing message then you should indulge yourself in the lyrically messages fron this anointed minister of the gospel. If you are tired of the repetitious ideas then bathe yourself in the soothing creativity exuding from the rhythmic flow of smooth jazz, R&B, and contemporary arrangements on every track. Darryl’s vocal style is mature and witty, gently working his awesome riffs in strategic places effortlessly blending them with the profound instrumentation on every song. The fresh idea of incorporating dramatic dialog to set up the track is tasty and unique bringing a relaxing aroma to life’s challenge’s face in every relationship. Darryl has proven once again his musicianship on this new CD, which is his third effort. Other projects produced to his credit are late Mother Patricia Henry, and Darryl Henry & Judah. As a musician Darryl has recorded with Steven Ford, The Williams Brothers, John Howard Caravans, and The Metropolitan Male Ensemble. Darryl has shared the stage with Be Be Wianans, Tri-State Mass Choir, Margaret Bell-Armstrong, the late Grover Washington Jr., and Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. Other artist Darryl shared the stage with are Richard Mr. Clean White, the late Rev. James Moore, the late Dannibell Hall, and many others. The CD ‘Relationships” will be supported by three soon to be released music videos. Darryl Henry is not only anointed to write, arrange, sing, and play music but, is now an Author to the very first published book titled “After it’s all said and done”. Influences: My vocal influences are Darryl Coley the late James Moore, and Mother Patricia Henry. I love Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, and Chaka Khan in that order. My instrumental influences are Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample, and Billy Cobbham. My local influences have been Stevie Ford, Kenny Ford, Calvin Carr, and the late Rick Tate.
