SKETCH

you kinda sound like nerve-endings overload.

About Me

Sketch started some time ago. If you want to get technical it started in about 1988 when John E. Molnar Jr. & Christopher Anthony Frascella met at the young ages of 14 & 15 years old. Almost immediately these two boys began playing music together (albeit badly and some would argue that hasn't chaged). As the two boys grew into young men their musical tastes stretched and shifted. The two young men grew together musically and played in various musical incarnations of bands together until eventually they were in a band together called Voice Of One. It was in this band that the two young men (now more like young adults) began playing with a kind soul who doubled as an amazing drummer by the name of Andrew Bova. After Voice Of One disbanded after a few good years the three men continued to play together but this time they began playing as an instrumental trio that leaned more towards noise rock than rock and became known as Sketch. The original trio version of Sketch wrote some songs, played some shows and fielded the question of "Why don't you have a singer?" more times than one would think is possible. Once Sketch decided it was time to do a recording they went to Ozone Recording in Philadelphia, PA and recorded with their friend and rather talented gentleman named, Jason Sexton. While recording the thought of becoming a four piece entered the minds of the trio and in particular having Jason as that fourth puzzle piece. Jason then joined John, Chris & Andy and the proper four piece Sketch was finally all together. Is Sketch popular and successful band? Not entirely. Unless you measure success as being lucky and blessed enough to be able to make music that you enjoy and are proud of with four of your best friends. What more could one really ask for?
