Politics, social theory, movies, books and television. I love science (from physics to archaeology) and mathematics because it all amazes me the levels our species has attained. Can you imagine what the next several generations are going to have available to them?I have told people that after I die I would like my ashes scattered to the winds on Mars (yeah, that will take a while after I die I'm sure, but we WILL make it to Mars eventually)I am an avid gamer, just about anything from role playing games (not so much the stuff on game platforms or computers, but stuff like D&D, LARPing and that ilk) to board games like Settlers of Catan (by Klaus Teuber) and playing Texas Hold 'Em.I enjoy walking, playing hackey-sack and volunteering for my community.I love reading and writing, focusing mostly on fantasy, science fiction, ancient history and religion (including early Christian/Bibilical history despite, or because of, not being a Christian in the normal sense of the term).

Anybody who isn't an asshole. I like to meet people of all sorts, but I really can't stand those who know everything and can't ever possibly admit they are ever wrong about anything (ie: George Bush, and a certain modern Scottish/Norse barbarian of Saginaw).I especially like people who are open minded and enjoy good conversation, but in general I just love people. It's hard to make me not like you, but amazingly some people do manage it.Oh yeah, I'd love to meet Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba. Of course!!!
I like to listen to mostly folk music of all types, from Bluegrass to Zydeco, Celtic to Jazz; my other favorite is Techno (House Rocks!) I like classical symphonic music as much as I like Rap and Hip Hop. I love the classics of rock (but Elvis SUCKS worse then the Rolling Stones!!).I have been know to say "If you can't play it acoustic, its not worth playing (unless it is Tech!)" so please don't trouble me with too much electric guitar jacked all up with distortion and try to tell me its music.I love the sound of bagpipes, fiddles (violins are cool too), mandolins and every kind of drum known to humanity.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy!!! Star Wars (all of 'em! Yeah, thats right, ALL OF THEM). Some of my other favorite movies are: True Romance, The Station Agent, The Fifth Element, Ghandi, Dead Poets Society, the Indiana Jones franchise, Lawrence of Arabia, Charade, Wait Until Dark, anything with Grace Kelly, Jaws, anything by Spielberg (including those with Cruise, the dude is weird, but still a good actor)
SciFi Channel, History Channel (and History International), National Geographic Channel, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel (and its offspring like D-SCI, D-MIL, etc), and Comedy Central.Specific shows: Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Digging for the Truth, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Countdown with Kieth Olbermann, and Tucker.
Authors I love: Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Neal Stephenson, Stephen R. Donaldson, R. Scott Bakker, Orson Scott Card, Robert Jordan, George R.R. Martin, Kim Stanley Robinson, Phillip Jose Farmer, Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Kurt Vonnegut, Anne McCaffrey, Elizabeth Moon, Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Ursula LeGuin, Octavia Butler, Raymond E. Feist and many more fantastic word-smiths.
Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Jesus Christ, Muhammed, the Buddha, the Dalai Lama, Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Karl Marx, Neal Stephenson, George R.R. Martin, Stephen R. Donaldson, Jon Stewart, George Lucas, Stephen Spielberg, Bill and Melinda Gates, Bill Clinton, Harrison Ford (he's ACTUALLY a REAL LIFE HERO, having rescued stranded mountain climbers with his helicopter that he pilots himself, look it up if ya don't believe me) and Mary Ellen Garrett (luv ya Ellie!!)...OK, you too Big John Denton ya sneaky bastard ;-)
