About Me

Leyton started dj-ing in the late 90’s whilst working as a bar supervisor at The Lounge in Kingston, Surrey, which was a host venue to a number of dj’s such as Carl Cox, Seb Fontaine, Rocky (X-PRESS 2) and Mark Wilkinson, to name but a few. Leyton started playing as a Friday night stand in and was soon playing on featured weekday events, which led to a residency at Po Na Na in Wimbledon. The residency at Po Na Na ran on a Sunday night from early January’00 until December ’00, From this Leyton made regular spots at independently run nights with Lee Holt, a friend and resident dj from ‘The Lounge’Meanwhile a new venue in Clapham ‘The Common Rooms’ opened and Leyton became the resident dj on Saturday nights, this led into 2002 and a year that would see Leyton slowing progressing into producing.Everything started coming together in early 2003 when Leyton had regular guest spots for ‘soda’ at Madam JoJo’s. He was also approached to play at sermon, a monthly run night in Chertsey. Leyton was then asked to head up Sermon South in Woking.Leyton started to focus on producing and spent most of his summer hauled up inside a studio with Richard Searle, an engineer who proved to be an invaluable source and respected by the likes of Joey Negro, Kidstuff and x-press 2, all of whom he has collaborated and worked with, among many others. Leyton had already made a friend and colleague within Mark Wilkinson, back from the days at ‘The Lounge’ and this led to a whole new chapter in Leyton’s life, which by now was fast becoming a steady and solid career. When Mark started up his own nights under his label, Kidology, it was a natural and obvious progression that Leyton would make, and so became the Kidology nights. A series of venues such as; Blag – Kensal Rise, The AKA bar in West central street and Woody’s in Notting hill have, to date, hosted the nights.December 2003 drew to a close and saw one of the biggest highlights in Leyton’s career to date. He played at underwater’s final party of the year in the lounge at ‘The End’, where headlining in the main room were Darren Emmerson, Jon Carter and Paul Jackson. The start of 2004 saw Leyton play the revolution bar in Watford and Kidology continue their on going and successful night at the ‘AKA’ bar. Leyton spent a productive year in the studio, again with Richard Searle, one of the outcomes being a track that will be showcased out at the Miami Winter Music Conference this year. Leyton also done a successful remix of a Mark Knight track that is currently in talks for signing. As another year finishes, another Highlight for Leyton as he played the bar at Ministry for the Saturday Sessions. After returning from the Miami wmc in ’05 Leyton launched his own night, ‘ Strictly Social’ up in Farringdon, with guest Dj line ups such as, Paul Jackson, Mark Knight and Mutiny. Leyton played in 2006 with his first set for a relatively new night called Lipglosz up in Fulham.2006 looks set to be a productive year for Leyton, with 2 tracks being taken out to Miami and collaboration with up and coming singer Loretta Prince and number of remixes in the pipeline
