“The accelerators†are an eclectic rock collective from Roma. All the members of the band are important session musicians of the italian pop/jazz scene. Their first album was produced and mixed by grammy winner David Bianco (Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger, Rage Against The Machine, Teenage Fanclub,Coal Chamber, U.S. Crush, Danzig, Failure, AC/DC, John Hiatt, Del Amitri, The Posies) and mastered by Gene Grimaldi at Oasis studio in Los Angeles. "Oddville" is the name of their debut, a concept of 11 tracks recorded in analog. Many important players and composers joined the band during the recording sessions like Gianluca Renzi on double bass, Eumir Deodato on clavinet and fender rhodes, Andrea Morricone who arranged and directed a string ensemble and the a’cappella band “neri per caso†They won an award as the best italian indipendence production at gran gala of arts in Rome and recently invited to play at final of venice’s and Cannes' film festival."Though an eclectic collection of songs, the foundation of the accelerators' debut album is soul. The grooves are thick and solid whatever the genre with every tune enriched with enormous amounts of energy and heart. the accelerators' capabilities instrumentally and vocally seem boundless and they attack what they do with great passion. The music surges with life and freedom, a reflection of their awareness of musical styles yet their refusal to toe the line of popular trends. Unpretentious and able to laugh at themselves, the bands songs are equal parts humor and drama. This album is honest, beautiful and a welcome breath of fresh air" David Bianco
