Now That She's Gone...She's My Favorite Love Song

About Me

WWW.STEVETEMMEL.COM Steve Temmel is a Los Angeles based songwriter who delivers soulful melodies and provocative heart felt lyrics that are intensified by his engaging live performances. His unique brand of well-crafted songs contain a sense of wisdom and poetry rarely heard in today's pop music. They range from soft emotional ballads to hard driving, turn up the radio, sing-a-long anthems. Stevmusic is enhanced by his sophisticated guitar work that's full of infectious grooves and bluesy e's overtones. He's been performing his original music in and around Los Angeles and Nashville since 1998, playing at various premiere songwriter showcases and venues including Highland Grounds, Kulakswoodshed, Douglass Corner and The Bluebird Cafe.
Steve realized early on that being a tunesmith was his true calling. "Writing songs is the one thing in life I love to do most. The second is sharing them and putting them back into the Universe. Plus, it's cheaper than therapy." Steve is very active in co-writing with other artists and writers in the area. He visits Nashville several times a year to write, play and promote his music. "Nashville is my second home. Every time I'm there I learn something new about writing or about the business side of music." Steve has preformed at such venues as the Bluebird Cafe, Douglass Corner, the Broken Spoke as well various NSAI sponsored events. Steve is also known as one of the most talented guitar players in L.A. He has played on numerous studio albums and been a hired gun for several major Country and Rock acts. He played guitar and appeared on the CBS Drama "The District". In addition, he has been recording and producing several artists in the L.A. and Ventura areas. Born and raised in Southern California, Steve grew up playing sports, surfing and playing music. At and early age, he picked up the guitar and was playing everything he could get his ears on. Growing up in L.A.in the eighties, Steve was introduced to the hard rock scene that was happening with bands such as Van Halen, Motley Crue, and Metalica. He attended Cal State Northridge where he majored in Classical Guitar and music composition. His professional affiliations and memberships include BMI, Nashville Songwriters Association International, Songwriters Guild of America and Just Plain Folks. CLICK HERE TO JOIN STEVE'S MAILING LIST
