The crew of the Emerald Rose found mae on a tropical isle years ago, all alone bote fer me invisible friends. Of me past or how ae arrived on thar, e'en still ae hath no memory.

Ae knew only part of me name, as it was sewn into me undies, 'Morty'. The crew, for its part, could only determine two things. Ae must be Scottish - given me thick drawl and copious love of haggis, ale, wenches, and more haggis. And ae must have been hit on the head by something very heavy.

At any rate, having a strong back and a keen wit, ae made a fine pirate... though the lingering mystery of who ae was afore still follows mae whe're ae go.
