Well, what should i say here. im a pretty well rounded person with very diverse interests,im usually up for anything given the right company. i especially love experiencing and learning about other cultures .the best way is of course to go to a place and immerse yourself in it but sadly thats not that easy for me .i always feel shackled by a job or living space or what have you. i lived in Romania for about a year when i was 18,was a great experience , if you speak Romanian,hai sa vorbim un pic ! if you want to learn,i can teach you some ;).love nature, the ocean especially ,on a calm night. sitting down by a longbeach jetty watching the surf,making music, or out east to get away from the world..i used to get up at 5am to have breakfast at jones beach on way to work,watch the sun rise or get an early surf-session...i miss that.. also do alot of gardening/landscape design..keep an organic garden near my shop...this year i put in Kiwii spend most of my free time these days in my workshop.mostly on various forms of woodworking,usually crafting ethnic flutes in wood and bamboo...recently acquired a serious 400pound lathe and almost all my shop-time has been devoted to wood-turning.theres something really addictive about carving away all that wood so fast,spinning logs into toothpicks is quite fun :-D i guess its like destructive therapy! i personally harvest almost all of my wood and bamboo, its more natural,its usually free,but mainly its environmentally sound and responsible which means alot to me. i just joined a long island woodturners club and met some amazing artists there,though at 31 i'm definitely the youngest member!i also enjoy playing music either alone or with friends etc. some folks have been crazy enough to pay me for it! im NOT a pro though and normally play for fun or in barter at some health spas and such,ive had the opportunity to play at cafes, dojos , yoga studios, ashrams and other spiritual centers/events ,its been tons of fun and i feel honored to share what i can. im most involved lately in performing Kirtan,a hindu form of sacred musical chant...its been a long time since ive actually recorded anything really,i should definitely get back to it. id really like to jam with other so-aligned people,musician or not, im no professional here...you can see and hear some of my (older) creations at my website below...
