About Me

..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
The USM is a melodic Streetpunk rock band.
Drawing from the pride of the working class and the sound of old school punk, The USM mixes old with new and comes up with something that sounds fresh.
BRIGHTON, ENGLAND
Born in Brighton, England in 2000. Played our very first shows with Irish punk legends Stiff Little Fingers. We released a 7" vinyl record on HANK Records that was first played by infamous BBC Radio 1 DJ, John Peel (RIP).
BOSTON, USA
I moved back to my hometown of Boston in America in 2001 and put together an all American lineup. We released the CD 4 Star Desperadoes also on HANK Records. We played a lot of shows on the East Coast and fans, radio and the press seemed to like us.
ON HIATUS
The USM has been on hold for awhile, but we're talking about playing together again for a bit, even as we continue with our other respective projects.
I had been living in South Africa for the past couple of years but moved back to America a few months ago to once again focus on music.
CONEHEAD RECORDS from Germany will be releasing a split record with our pals RED UNION (Yugoslavia), and we are EXCITED about that!
We'll likely play some American shows this Summer and we'd like to get to Germany too if things work out. Hopefully that can and will happen.
Special thanks to all the good bands that have played with us, zines that wrote about us, radio that played us, kids who came to the shows, people who fed us, got us drunk or let us crash at their place after a night out in their town. And to the many people who continue to offer the band encouragement now. Many, many thanks.
