About Me

It all started with a bass. After looking at his friend Nico's newly bought Firebird, Jim felt like he needed one. So he impulsively came to a local music store and bought a beautiful Thunderbird (same shape as a Firebird, only that it's a bass). The moment he got it off its box, he played three notes and somehow a voice whispered those divine words to his ears : «Punk Rock»Yeah, Punk Rock. Wathever its significance today, Punk Rock used to mean something important to people. It used to be shocking, synonym of liberty, an open door for marginal minds, a «Bringer of Greater Things». Some punkers still hold this spirit's flaming torch, but time has changed. Radically. So yeah...what was I saying? Ah yes, Jim. So Jim thought about starting a punk band, like a real one. He plays bass, so that was one thing done. He knew a guitarist, St-Pee. Jim knew that, aside from playing guitar, he liked cheese on his potatoes. Everyone knows what this means : he should be an awesone dude! So St-Pee was hired! Two things done! He needed a drummer. Let me tell you, it's easier to find a singing blue pig than a drummer who doesn't only play metal in Rimouski. So why not looking for a drummer...who doesn't even know he's one yet? He asked Nico about it, and he convinced him because the guy is so naïve, you wouldn't believe it. They got a drum, courtesy of Jean-Pierre, also know as Popol, who's one hell of a drummer (We miss you!).The Toasters Salers finally were! Even without a drum they can call their own, they mix tons of influences (from Propagandhi, to Jackson 5, avoiding Beethoven, but copying NOFX...the list goes on). Maybe you won't hear any of these artists in our songs, but that's what's fucking awesome about it...Trying to create something new and at the same time, keep on holding punk rock flaming torch.-nicoP.S. Oh..by the way...we finally got our own drums...*applause*And please, take some of your time to visit our top friends, they have very goods and interestings things to say. Thanks. Also, Jim and Nico are half of another band called God Is Blind. Go check'em, we all like what they do. Icons Collage MySpace Editor Photo Collage MySpace Backgrounds Glitter Graphics
