About Me

First and most importantly I am a loud and proud taphophile (a person who loves cemeteries - I had to look it up too). LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, photography & especially love to photograph cemeteries, collect cemetery photography books. I am also vey interested in daguerreotypes & memorial photography. Maybe one day the custom will return - it's a beautiful last tribute. I worship The Smiths, LOVE Harry Potter, the crow, Japanese culture (especially geisha & tea ceremony) & Maori culture, Dia Del Los Muertos, 1920s, tea, parasols, gloves, fans, Peter Fox shoes, dresses from Belinda's, Martha Graham, Elizabeth I, mourning ephemera, love goth culture except for the platform boots & shoes (i don't care if they're leather with spikes - they're still platforms!!) and i'm still ify about the whole japanese goth lolita thing (it's still too cutesy for me). Artists - Erte, Edward Gorey, Georges Barbier, Basquiat, Raymond Peynet, Picasso, Dali, Frida Kahlo... Photographers - Julia Margaret Cemeron, Peter Beard, Simon Marsden, Leni Riefenstahl, Man Ray, Jean-Paul Goude, Chris Anthony, & almost all cemetery photographers. Filmmakers - Wong Kar Wai, Jim Jarmusch, Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton, Zhang Yimou, Pedro Almodovar, Merchant Ivory, and many more. I try to watch only foreign and independent films. My heart and soul are my nieces and nephews and my husband. I like to help promote the dark arts & independent artists - gothic or unique photography, clothing, jewelry, art, etc. - so please take the time to look at the great artists in my friends section and in my comments section. No pornographic or bikini models please!! I like to rotate the people in my top friends section so please don't take it personally if you are there one month and not the next. I also love martial arts so please check out the schools & organizations too.
