My Top friends are mainly the bands i like supporting at the moment, mostly awesome local bands, also bands ive worked with and of course theres a few old favs and legends! if it gets me boppin...i like it!!...everything from zep to the beastie boys to nirvana to the cure... i get freebie cds at work and my fav one at the moment is ** Crazy Price by Messer Chups (kooky russian act) ** Temps Suspenda by Leo (French Jazz/Fusion) yes, yes, im getting back into foreign language lyrics and soundscape instro kinda stuff again...im bored with listening to rock stuff at the mo!
pump up the volume, preaching to the perverted, but im a cheerleader, tank girl, the fifth element, 12 monkeys, fight club, natural born killers, antonias line, secretary, the lord of the rings, all tarantino, all of the muppet movies especially THE Muppet Movie, less than zero, shawshank redemption, the usual suspects, the breakfast club, the never ending story, watch out were mad ( for those that asked its a hilarious 70's italian film!) grease, rat race ....(yes, you heard right!, its hilarious! good wholesome family kinda film, yes...but good!........i was stuck on the bus from melb to adel and that was the movie, i did that laugh out loud by myself, embarrassing thing the whole time, hilarious!!)...and ive been getting into watching dvds when i get the chance...not much lately but for a while our whole house was addicted to "Bad Girls" a 'so bad its good' UK prison drama, great!... also Family Guy, man that show is soooo wrong!...The L Word, of course!.........the most recent good films ive seen have been "About A Boy" ... seriously, i thought it was really good, cute, believable, Hugh Grant seemed to be playing himself,it was great! and toni colette was awesome, cheesy feel good film that one!... also Battle Royale, Japanese movie, full on violent, but well made...the schoolgirl gangster actress from Kill Bill is in it, whoah!... ive also been watching lots of foreign stuff and docos, standouts were OPEN CITY and finally saw La Dolce Vita and also waiting to see Christiane F which is supposed to be full on!... i have this thing for fucked up movies, i love them!
dont watch much tele, no time for it...its all crap anyways!! well ok mostly crap, well no, its all crap, but i like some of it!!...The Simpsons, if i catch it, oh and futurama, hilarious!...and i love all those drama shows like CSI! but i never get to watch them at all anymore...oh well!
when i was catching the train to work i had time to read, now i dont have any time!...except at night after ive finished everything and then im on this bloody thing haha! but ive been slooowly getting through Southern Cross by Patricia Cornwell...interesting, but good Cornwell, its a bit hard adjusting to the new characters although its probably more a case of missing the old ones!...ah Lucy!... im also reading Lonely Planets Europe on a Shoestring, ive also been flipping through an awesome cook booky kinda thing by Nigella Lawson called "how to Eat" thanks jukesy!latest recommended reading: The Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson (hes such a storyteller i dont know whats truth or fiction is with him anymore!..but damn hes funny!) i like heaps of different stuff, mainly biographies, useless fact books, crime fiction esp. patricia cornwell, travel esp. bill bryson...chuck palahniuk, alvin toffler...
