Biography

JAYNE-ANNE POWER sets out to define Australian Nu-Soul / RnB. A five piece band of Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keys accompany the vocal artistry of Jayne-Anne Power which has a mix of influences underpinning the music – acoustic soul, R&B, pop, gospel and jazz – but it is her ‘diva’ vocal delivery and the ever-present rhythmic drive in her music that is winning her critical acclaim.
Debut album SUBSTANCE is exploding online with over 36,000 track downloads – track 9 off the album, ‘Not Sorry’ boasting 30,000 of those downloads alone!
It hasn’t taken long for Jayne-Anne to spark interest from around the world. Following live interviews and airplay on American radio, Los Angeles based women’s glossy, FOAM magazine will focus their music section on Jayne-Anne with a feature article in this coming May edition.
In June 2007 Jayne-Anne was selected as a Sony/BMG "Hot Pick" in the "Uncharted" competition and completed round two at number 17 out of 700 entries.
