PAPER GIRL For Big Fish Productions. A hard-hitting stage play for 22 young people aged 13 – 17 Performed in schools throughout Hull.

TV credits include - The Bill, Casualty, Band of Gold and Emmerdale.

In development: Gill has recently finished adapting her play Jump to Cow Heaven into a feature film with Gary Kemp, called Wanted.

Gill has won The Prex Acqueo For Both Crush and Child of the Boarder. Crush also won a Sony Silver Award and The Mental Health and Media Award.

I have taught widely in film, creative writing and radio drama.

I have much experience in forming community writing/theatre groups (which have flourished and continued) as well as writing, producing and designing award winning theatre productions, working in schools, colleges and within the community as well as specialising in unblocking creativity workshops which encorparate, drama, writing, dance and art.

I am a team leader with exuberant energy and I excel in nurturing, supporting and celebrating talent.

In my work as a writer I often focus on hard hitting subjects which effect young people and raise awareness, often using raw acting talent from around East Yorkshire. I have written over 15 radio dramas many of which have been translated into other languages and won awards.

I am massively passionate about my craft, I see it as a gift, and have developed many skills over the years which allow me to excite, educate and motivate others.
