The Smirkins, previously known as the Smerkin Merkins are a festival band, a group that twists traditional British folk music into a sound influenced by rave, punk, reggae, dub, and everything else which is good.

Band Members: Dickon is the creator of the diddly dub sound and can do things with his diatonic melodeon. Rasta Ropert is a drumming teacher, and brings the true dub style to our sound. Cheesy Gareth, guitarist with 25 years experience in folk clubs, ex Nomad band, Yogurt Thrash, is also guitarist with us. Aidie B, is also a drummer and solid sound man/ recording engineer.Mike hits the violinand Dave has joined us to replace on bass the fantastic, if emigrating, Roj.MySpace Layouts - myspace layouts
