Stop Staverton Airport Expansion is a coalition of groups including Concerned Residents Against Staverton Expansion, Cheltenham Friends of The Earth, Gloucestershire Plane Stupid and Gloucestershire Greenpeace. Staverton Airport want to increase the usable length of their runway and increase services.
The IPCC tell us that we need to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 90% or face catastrophic climate change. In the face of this, it is clear that we cannot continue to let airports expand due to the environmental impact of aviation, the UK's fastest growing source of CO2 emissions.
