Just who are all you people?

About Me

I'm a composer, songwriter, performer and sound engineer living in London as of August 2007, having parted ways with lovely Edinburgh. I was born in Linlithgow, raised in Bradford, and I have blood from Poland and Yorkshire. I'm quite tall.At present I'm doing some engineering work at home and at Fortress Studios , and promoting my current personal project entitled Govinder The Holy Ukulele , which is an album of songs I wrote and recorded over two months in India last year with a ukulele and a good companion. I also play guitar with the multitudinous and frankly amazing force that is Los Grecos .Past projects include doing multichannel sound design and installation for Katharine Fry's series of domestic performance art shows Home Suite (featured in Time Out), fronting NT and the People Who Use Them , which I hope to resurrect soon under a more sensible name, playing lead guitar with harmonica veteran and songsmith The Bluesfather and collaborating with a band of merry artists known as Vague, mainly doing performance / intervention / site-specific stuff. Very good fun.I have made recordings for the following, among others. Of course not all of their current recordings are my work, but I'd like to plug them anyway because there's some folk down there who I really believe in.Los Grecos - Demo, 2008 Slowly Slowly Fast - Govinder The Holy Ukulele, 2008 Arse 2 Mouth - Your Sweet Scent EP, 2007 The Babylon Arabic Band - Samra, 2005 The Bluesfather (E/T/C band) - This Is The Modern Blues, 2007 The Censors - Demo, 2006 Anna Jarosz - Under My Sky, 2007 The Moulettes - Demo, 2008 Miyagi - Dragonfly EP, 2005 NT and the People Who Use Them - Banana Argument EP, 2007 Nick Trepka - Bear, 2008 Opalsky - Tiny Tales, 2008 Lindsay West - Cramond Island, 2006Don't be a stranger.
