Danny Marx Young Myspace Profile SOLID SKIES MAKES IT TO 2008 European Compilations
Danny Marx Young fell late into music when he was 17. From there he travelled Germany and performed 30 dates in and around 35 days, which fuelled his passion for being a frontman. Upon his return, Young started a rock band where he entertained the local surf scene whilst building a following. Young came through to win a national song contest presented by 2DayFM’s Ugly Phil, with their song Waking Up. Think you have seen his face before? It is quite possible you may have as Young played several roles in Australian dramas such as All Saints, Home and Away and Breakers. He also did a season of Musical theatre and moonlighted for band Deep Squeeze. Young looked to bigger and better things as he established a band called Circlework. Touring the East Coast of Australia, the band played pubs, entertainment centers and venues that catered for all-ages. Liasing with the likes of Billy Thorpe and Molly Meldrum, Young received plenty of feedback in his time which included Billy Thorpe’s glowing review which claimed that Danny Marx Young had a singing style that stood out from other singers in the industry. It was then that Young began working with legendary producer Harry Vanda, who is renowned for his work writing and producing hits for a number of groups and solo singers including John Paul Young (Danny’s father), Rose Tattoo, The Angels and AC/DC. Recently Danny has performed with members of such bands as Leonardos Bride, Air Supply, Noiseworks, Southern Sons, Icehouse, The Dissociatives, And great artists such as Steve Balbi, Jack Jones, Harry Vanda, Tania Murray, Pete Northcote, Joseph Calderazzo, Rex Goh Just to name a few. Danny participated on the soundtrack for Australian film Razzle Dazzle doing a blistering cover of Angry Andersons "Bound For Glory" on the Motion Picture Soundrack CD including such artists as Deborah Conway, Chrissy Amphlett (Divinyls) Rick Price, Martin Plaza (Mental As Anything) Tara Morice and Wendy Matthews Danny also has just completed recording Vocals for Israeli troup Global warming and Pavex (Crystal Lake) recently being signed by Superstar Dj Jan Waynes label Cuepoint Records Which reached number 1 on the Eurodance hit Chart , Also reaching number 2 On the DanceRadio Chart In the Czhech Republic, Whilst still remaining Dance Charts all over Europe And UK!
