Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor (A&R island/Universal Music Australia) will be stopping by Musical Chairs this month to give insight into the world of major record labels. His advice on how to present your act to a major label will be an opportunity you can't afford to miss. Be sure to bring your demos/EPs along to give him in person, but please dont pounce on our poor Mike, you might frighten him away!

Since arriving on the scene in late 2006 Happenstance, a four piece pop/rock/powerpop band, have wasted no time producing their first EP along side ARIA award winning producer/engineer Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Powderfinger, the Dissociatives) and their debut film clip directed by Kane Christopher with award winning cinematographer Geoffrey Simpson (Shine, Romulus my Father). Their songs have been featured on compilations in the USA & most recently on the Perisher Blue ‘Launch Your Band’ 2008 CD. Fresh off the back of their first mini north coast of NSW tour Happenstance will bring their fun and energetic live show to Musical Chairs.

If the name Hazzy Bee sounds familiar, chances are you have probably read it around the streets of Sydney. The infamous "Hazzy Bee" is a street artist deticated to making sydneys streets beautiful, THANKS!
Heres what we know about him: His name is Harry. His mum calls him Hazzy Bee. He writes songs about love, unrequited love, requited love, lost love and so on and so forth. COOL!
