About Me

So... all the MADforAnimals songs and poems have been written by Elizabeth Usher, who several years ago had an epiphany about how non-human animals are treated in facilities such as factory farms and abattoirs. In 2007, she said a final goodbye to Freckles, her beloved four-legged friend, at the grand old age of 18. She has since adopted Jackpot, from a Sydney pound, on the day he was going to be killed. Elizabeth is vegan and tries to live in accordance with values that respect other animals - including people - and the earth.
