About Me

....
I'm a Breast Cancer Survivor .. 6 years last New Year's Eve as everyone was getting legless I was becoming breastless!
Cancer is a challenge - it's also a mental hurdle. Personally, I didn't see my cancer as a death sentence, nor a "forever thing". It was just another path of my life.
I am also realistic - I know we're all dying - that it's not a matter of "if" - it's a matter of "when".
However, my belief was also "if you don't control it, it's going to control you". So after my mastectomy I spent the next 9 months going through Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy to throw everything "at it". I also feel I was one of the "lucky" ones as I continued to work throughout my Chemo (taking a few days off after each session). Even though I felt like "the Titanic" (full of water), I also believed that drinking 3 litres of freshly-made fruit/vegetable juices may have contributed to my revitalisation.
I'm a very positive person - always have been - the type of person who lives for today and enjoys life to the max and will continue to, for as long as I can!
"Life is short .. Break the rules .. Forgive quickly ..
Kiss slowly .. Love truly .. Laugh uncontrollably ..
And never regret anything that made you smile!!"

My Interests

As for my interests .. let's see .. music, genealogy, music, computers, music, current affairs, music, travelling .. oh and by the way, did I mention, music?Music simply relaxes me, like nothing else can - well, almost like nothing else :) It's a great stress-reliever!

I'd like to meet:

I've already met him! It may sound very cliche, but he is my soulmate, my hero, my rock, my best friend - he is my hubby!

Who have I met? In 1979-1980 I worked for JPY's manager (Wayne deGruchy). Being 21yo, travelling to the "big smoke" from the country up north, was an experience in itself! Through this adventure I met John Paul Young "JPY" (naturally), and his band Warren "Pig" Morgan (ex Aztecs), Ian Miller, Rockwell T James (Ronny Peel), Johnny "JD" Dick (ex Aztecs), Billy Rogers (ex Dragon), Daryl Braithwaite, Garth Porter, Tony Mitchell, Ted Mulry (God bless him!), Marc Hunter, Glenn Shorrock, Daryl Cotton, played cricket with Cold Chisel, .. just to name a few! Have also had the pleasure in meeting .. Marcia Hines, Paul Young, James Reyne, Al Jarreau, Ian "Molly" Meldrum, Sara Storer & Graeme Connors.
