RICHARD RICARDO

Born in Lima, Peru. Lived in Los Angeles in the 60's. My parents and I moved to Berlin, Germany in 1970 and lived there until 1973. From there we came to Manitoba, Canada until 1975. In 1975 I moved to Vancouver, British Columbia; I was 19 then.I still live here in Vanderland.I speak English, Spanish and German. ***In the DISCO DAYS I worked in Clubs as a DJ and Bar Helper, then I got recruited to tour on the road as crew for BANDS and MUSIC ARTISTS from all levels of success and stardom. During the past 25 years (on and off) in the MUSIC BUSINESS, I mostly did concert production and junior tour management. I spent about 6 to 8 years in SPECIAL EVENT PLANNING, CULTURAL FESTIVAL PRODUCTIONS and NITE CLUB PROMOTIONS (Co-Founder/'House of Soul') with my own company Clear Image Productions. During that time I promoted and met a lot of up and coming Musical Artists that have become Big Stars since; mostly in R&B, HipHop/Rap and Funk. Attended Sound Engineering & Recording Academy in the late 80's. I Funded or EXECUTIVE PRODUCED a few albums. Co-produced and co-wrote about half a dozen quite successful jingles and radio commercials. ***My biggest interest is MUSIC and The MUSIC BUSINESS. I also like COOKING, DINING OUT as well as the RESTAURANT BUSINESS itself. Since I was very young I dined at many of the finest restaurants around the world (thanks to my parents)and some of my influences are derived from culinary treasures discovered in my travels. ***I helped established 2 nightclubs and 9 restaurants of which I've owned four including some that received awards in various categories. Specialising in the field of Italian, Spanish and East Indian Cuisine with a flare for fusion. ***I played soccer since I first learned to walk back in Peru, then I played in the Berlin High School League. When I first moved to Vancouver I joined the Community Center League for about 6 years and then volunteered as an assistant trainer to several minor youth teams. ***Fifteen years ago I suffered an inmobilizing injury from a fall off a truck and could barely walk or move for several months. From this experience I learned much about pain, pain management therapies and the unbelievable runaround the medical insurance system puts you through in your quest for recovering your health. For the past nine years I've been involved in a Dream Team that specializes in pain relief management that's helped tens of thousands of people by using low frequency electrical muscle and nerve stimulators in the therapy. We also work with Sport Therapists in Pro Sport Leagues. Our own Electronic Muscle & Nerve Stimulator Brand is coming out soon. ***At the present I am a Marketing Consultant specialising in the Restaurant Sector and also do service other fields. ****In January 2006 I founded STRAIGHT GOODS MANAGEMENT a MUSIC BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING FIRM that provides FUNDING, CAREER ORIENTATION and STRATEGIC PLANNING SERVICES for new artists who are determined to get as far as they can with their talents. We have a HUGE NETWORK of CONTACTS. Record Companies love meeting young upcoming artists who have an organized career plan, it saves them time and money. We are backed by Private Investors, but will also be funded by various grants in 2007. We are alreeady servicing several largely talented musicians with potential for greatness. I am expanding my team and network to handle several more artists very soon. I'm determined to make a difference in my lifetime and what better way than to help the Music if I can.
