Karen has an angel in heaven, Lewis Jack Prior, who lost his life waiting for a heart transplant. Despite her tremendous loss she has been my rock since I met her on LHM message boards. First and foremost my hero is GOD for all that HE has done for me in the past 2 years... Saving my sister... giving me my son. And for everyday HE allows me another day with my family. My sister, Amanda, for all she has endured in the last two years and most recently. She is and will be a survivor.

My son, Gavin, for all that he teaches me everyday of his little life. For being such a brave boy and enduring more than most children do their whole childhood. Skyler and Andrew for their unconditional love and support. The best 2 siblings and kids anyone could ask for. Dr. Neil Devijian for his awesomely God-gifted talent. Without him I would be deeply saddened. The doctors of Pediatric Cardiology out of Albany but mostly Dr. Kamenir for his reassurance and the ability to trust him and his ability to be honest. Amy B. of CHC for always being there when I needed her most and for being Gav's advocate for the best medical care possibly. Greg for being his resp therapist and his great advice. Kelly, who we will miss, for helping Gav overcome his physical limits and making him a monster!! He now walks all over the place... Yeah!!! My mom for always making time to come to NY to be with me when I need her most! It took me becoming a mom to realize all she did for me. And all the other CHD moms. Someday we will all be in heaven with our whole angels enjoying the presence of each other and GOD!
