IM IN UR CLUBZ MAKING TEH BEATZ

About Me

I am one of the several resident djs for Dementia , a recurring weekly event at Mt. Tabor Legacy . I'm the one you come to when you need to hear that extra-special old Wax Trax! hit you haven't heard in forever but just gotta dance to it. *wink*

I am also a gun-for-hire, so to speak...VERY interested in playing other cities and states. If I announce I'm visiting your neck of the woods, please book me! We'll have some fun.

Plan on hitting one of my nights soon and want to make a request? Here's what I have to choose from:

re: posted audio

Finally! Something new! (look for new audio soon!) The three mp3s above are meant to be played back-to-back. Download them! If you are really ambitious, you can put them all back together and have the full first set from 10/21/06! If myspace were a little bit more generous with the size of mp3s they allow to be uploaded it would have not been chopped up. You do what you gotta do...

Playlist:Skinny Puppy - Burnt With Water, Asche - Made My Day (V3), Ah Cama Sotz - Your Darkest Soul, This Morn' Omina – Taninim, Wai Pi Wai - You Can Touch It, Architect - If Jim Would Jam with Ritchie, Black Lung - The Multiple Contest, Xingu Hill - Bandwidth Barons, Coil - Heaven's Blade, S.I.N.A. - Die Zeit
If you would like to listen to this set as a whole it can be downloaded here (along with the rest of the night):

The official (but out-of-date) Dementia page.

Downloadable Dementia nights I've played DJ for:

- August 11th, 07 - w/djs Nevermore & Valence

- June 2nd, 07 - w/DJ Valence

- January 20th - w/djs Ophelia & Valence

- November 11th, 06 - w/DJ Valence

- October 21st, 06 - w/djs Web & Valence

- September 26th, 06 - 3rd annual "Dark Alice In Wonderland" ball (misnamed as a second August 5th on the server, but it's the only three parter up for download. MANY djs on this recording!)

- April 22nd, 06 - w/djs Nevermore &Valence

- Feburary 18th, 06 - "Night Of The Furies I" w/djs Ophelia & PrettyElectrik

- October 8th, 05 - w/djs NoN & Valence

- July 9th, 05 - w/djs Nevermore & Valence

- May 14th, 05, w/djs NoN & Valence

- March 19th, 05 - w/djs Non & Valence

Just dicovered that some of these have been taken off the server. So get 'em while they're hot! I'll see what I can do to return them to the net.

Featured Video

Foetus - Throne Of Agony (live)

This one is by no means a professionally shot video. The sound is bad. There are confusing shots of the floor. But more importantly, after the view changes and music changes from "Quick Fix", there's my fuzzy head bopping around in the crowd in front of the stage, along with the tops of local industrial celebs Rev. DJ Razorslave and "Solid Gold Dancer" Kevin heads. This was shot live at the Cobalt Lounge here in Portland June 15th, 2001. God, I miss that place. Why oh why did that club have to become some shitty trendy country meathead place? Someday we shall reclaim it. I'd like to be the one to deconstruct their mechanical bull with a sledghammer. *shakes fist* Note to the owners of the Dixie Tavern: The south will never rise again. Accept it.

----------------------------------

Note to artists and labels: DJ Medusa has shown support for you by purchasing close to everything she plays. Downloads are used rarely, and only in the case of not yet having an album she wants and ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO PLAY SOMETHING OFF IT OR SHE'LL EXPLODE. Really...She further shows her support for your music by trying to expose as many people as possible at once to it, attending shows, and buying more CDs (of course) and t-shirts.

If copying doesn't kill music, pay-for-play will.

Note to Myspace bands that want to add me: I get a lot of friend requests from bands everyday. I may or may not approve you. This profile is being used primarily for promotion of myself as a club dj and the promotion of the music I love. I am only accepting without question friend requests from people who have an interest in me and the music that I spin. In turn I am not combing Myspace for more would-be fans -let them find me. Don't get me wrong, keep sending those requests because I am truly interested in at least sampling your music. Who knows, I might like it. But don't hold yr breath that I will be part of your promotional machine. OK? Thanx -C
