A clubber by night...electro/techno/dub/house.....whatever sounds good to my ears, fits with my brain and livens my heart ;)I mainly deal with acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, mixed media work and collage /// Lately I've found a penchant for using childrens art and craft supplies...nice. THE ART: //// I have two types of work. All my work is abstract expressionism/surrealism. The first: I paint pretty much intuitively, and let the sub-conscious/emotional side of my brain take over the process. The result is usually a colourful mix of lines and shapes.. intersecting and flowing, with a lot of raw energy thrown in for good measure. The second is more structured, less free flowing, more challenging illustrative type work, which in the past 7 months I have been concentrating on pursuing and defining. Graphic design has had a definite influence on this style, and in particular the graphic style of contemporary japanese art has seriously impressed me.However, I take inspiration from many artists and many things... including; graphics, japanese contemporary art and graphics- hiroshi sugiyama, Takashi Murakami; Warhol, Bridget Reilly, Van Gogh, Karel Appel, Jack B. Yeats, pollock (purely for his freedom of expression in style and two fingers attitude) fiona rae, gerald Laing, street art, Carol Eakins, Mucha work, Jim Fitzpatrick, picasso, Dali...and many more unsung heroes...and others I generally can't think of...:) Art for me is all about personal expression. Exploration of myself- feelings, emotions, vision, past, present, future.. life- people, places.. Fascinations- of all of the above /// HOW I FEEL: //// I'm just doing what I love...what I'm passionate about...what makes sense to me.-------------------------->>>>>>>> ;>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>> NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 collages have just gone up in a CUP BEARER cafe in sengengaya tokyo. I love this place, and the staff are so nice. :) All are for sale... --------------------------------------->>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who's genuine, has good attitude towards life, independant, free-thinker, unusual, different, artistic, creative, open-minded, laid-back, considerate, respectful, kind, friendly, up for a laugh, optimistic, loyal, and not afraid to be themselves....an individual! As long as you are you, your doing well...:)--------------------------------------------....... ................I can't let go of just loving this piece of film...(by gavin gallagher)...one of my favorite things (the ocean)..in one of my favorite places in the world (south of ireland)....its beautiful stuff :)ALso stuff I just discovered on youtube...slow stop animation created on walls... --------------------->>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. I think banksy is amazing....i love his art and his observations on contemporary society....its both refreshing and impressive to see an artist taking on the mass generalisation and boredom that is the stiff routine of modern day art...he has turned it on its head and made us see that we can take the streets back. From my point of view as an artist...i like the fact that he's saying something...he uses images in such a powerful way...and they hold a paradigm for me as I get a funny seriousness from most of his work. I also deeply admire his honesty in work...his idealism rooted in a true sense of himself I think..and his beliefs...which I gather are strong! WE need more artists like this challenging the way we think about art and how we view it.............. annnywayyy...enjoy this...>>>>>>>>
