Hello everybody! today sunbird made his debut on the national radio 'studio brussels' with the single "Little Girl" in the show of the magnificent DJ Bobby Ewing - "The Sessions"
Sunbird is a brand new electronic band that wants to make you feel good and enjoy a space ride on a stream of harmony and relaxation. It's a "onemanband"-project of Adriaan Swerts who has been experimenting with electronic music for many years in some other projects. You can describe his music as retro-futuristic ambient, downtempo, electronica, spacepop and even as classical music !! This makes it easy for people to compare it as a blend of Sigur Ros, Air, Kraftwerk, Pink floyd and many others in this kind of style. With drummachines, flashy analog synthesizers, samples and enchanting voices he tries to make the world a better place. His first important creation was the soundtrack written for a play named "Kust Ze" of the group Blaffetuur. Recently he was also selected as one of the finalists in a remix competition of "The Chemical Brothers". After a year of hard work, his first album is out on itunes (released by his own label Pianowood Records) and he is already working on some new tracks, more news will follow on this site soon...
