Yep... lived in the three L's: Leicester, London & Los Angeles.
Got 'On the Rockin'Road' at a very tender age in the late 70's in my hometown of Leicester, went to local Teddyboy hangout the TUL CLUB (Trade Union Labour ...it was a working mens club my dad went to ) , then the rockabilly bug bit me as it did so many others in the late 70's ,early 80's . Then i discovered the CRAMPS & THE METEORS, GUANA BATZ, STINGRAYS etc etc & the London Garage Punk scene . I wrote songs for a bunch of older mates who were in a band , THE RAWBOYS ... ahh great days! Managed a vintage clothing store in Leicester's Silver Arcade for about 9 years ...REPO CLOTHING ! As the old song goes ' i wanna hollar but the towns TOO SMALL ' so i up & left for the bright lights of Old London Town. Lived in the East End (Hotel Ropery anyone ?) & docklands for the 5 years i was there. Then a voice that sounded very much like James Mason playing God , seemed to say ...Go West Young Man !
And so i found myself in the City of Angels, Hollywood to be exact & the arms of a beautiful lady mysteriously named....BAMBOO !I got married to my beautiful babydoll, MISS BAMBOO. We married in a lonely shack by the railroad tracks to the sound of a rock n roll rumble... Okay, actually we got hitched at the 'Wee Kirk o the Heather' chapel at the Forest Lawn cemetary in Glendale to the sound of the Flat Duo Jets ['New York studio 1959'].

We love american roots music & vintage style but also dig crazy fucked-up garage punk rock n roll, nitro fuelled Neo Rockabilly, Hellish Honky Tonk . I also like dark gothic imagery & fetish (but not the music). I also DJ at my rockin' nite in Hollywood ...KLUB BIM BAM last Saturday of every month & my other nite in downtown L.A. SATURDAY NITE FISH FRY every 2nd saturday of the month .
Should be getting my own internet radio show soon ...so bands send me your stuff ...i love free shit ! If i like it i'll play it , if i don't i'll fashion it into an instrument of death & use it to decapitate & maim unsuspecting psuedo boho hipsters !
Voracious reader, love movies. When it comes to art, I'm into so called 'low brow ' stuff such as Mark Ryden, Robert Williams, Todd Schorr and also old 50's art like Bill Ward, Carlo n' stuff... tiki, etc. I also dig the Surreallists.
I worship at the altar of the CRAMPS !!! Lux & Ivy are simply the coolest people on this or any other world... trashcan hoodlum rock n rollers of the highest order!
Don't do religion . Hate rascism & oppression, & persecution. If you are cruel to animals... I wish you a slow & agonising death. Write a bit of poetry every now & again (check out my blog page), LOVE vintage 40's & 50's cars & motorcycles...although don't own any as yet... dig all that pinstriping , hot rod , Kustom scene.
