CONNECTION.TONY KING - SINGER / SONGWRITER / MUSICIAN / COMEDIAN / PRESENTER .....................................................Tony King has been on the scene for over 12 years now.He has travelled the globe, performing in some of the worlds finest theatres,clubs, venues, Hotels and cruise ships.Tony has appeared regularly on uk Television over the last 10 years,appearing on channels BBC1,CH 4, ITV, and CH 5.He has also had his own 1 hr special TV show on sky tv called 'In The Club'.Most recently, TK appeared on Saturday night primetime BBC1 with Graham Norton and Sophie Ellis Bextor,and was seen in a starring role for a major series for CH 4 called 'Wakey Wakey'. it is estimated that Tony King has now performed to over 20million people.TK is a highly accomplished and experienced performer and songwriter andremains independent of record / publishing and management deals. TonyKing has been writing commercial music and lyrics for some years but hasdecided only recently, that now is the right time for his music to be released.A seasoned performer for all his adult life, Tony has toured and performedacross the globe. The band have now released their new album 'A Different Face'which has been creating a stir on the local and international music scene withits seriously seductive mix of original commercial funk, latin, rock, balladsand swing Singer/songwriter and front man for the 8 .. 12 piece outfit, Tony King put theband together during the spring of 2004 and after a hectic schedule ofrehersals the band went into the studio to record their debut EP (The spicyprawns of Mr. Kong) shortly after which the band were invited by the famousCornwall funk stronghold, Bosuns Nightclub in Penzance to play their wellremembered debut gig.Producer of the EP, Dare Mason of the VIP Lounge, was so impressed withthe material and the performance he agreed to produce the new album 'ADifferent Face'Since 2004 The T.K. CONNECTION have been invited to perform at The EdenProject, Crystal Palace Stadium, The RAF Christmas Ball and on CH4television. Tracks from the album are regularly being played on both localBBC and national commercial FM radio stations as well as nightclubs both inthe UK and abroad. Whenever the band have played their live show, thecrowd reaction has been tremendous, and the band now has fans aswidespread as the U.S.A and Australia.One of the tracks from the album has found its way onto the fantasticcompilation album The Best of the VIP Lounge vol 1 which has recently beenreleased.The T.K.
