About Me

Hi, my name is Tim, thank you for visiting my site. As a musician, I have performed, taught, composed /arranged and directed professionally in classical, jazz and pop genres. You can find out more about that on my other site, Tim@TP Music. TP Music is a publishing company for the British style Brass Band. If you visit my website, www.tpmusic.co.uk, (link in the box on the left), you can see the kind of stuff that I do. I am also producing a series for Concert Band, published by and available from www.themusiccompanyshop.com. Over the years, I have arranged other peoples music for just about everything, including pop bands, dance bands, big bands, wind bands, orchestras and any other kind of ensemble who asked me. So, if you are looking for someone to do something for your band/ensemble, then send me a message. Myspace Backgrounds Here are three videos featuring my music. Influences: Music on this page includes my composition "Les Alignements", the MySpace version created especially for my friend Leena. There are also four audio samples of music published (and performed) from the TP Music Catalogue for the British style Brass Band. "Neruda" is an adaptation of the 1st movement of his Concerto in Eb for Trumpet and Strings, featuring the Soprano Cornet. "Hot Gospel" is an excerpt from my piece which presents a swing version of 'The Church's one Foundation', 'How Great Thou Art' as a calypso! and 'Just a Closer Walk with Thee' in a jazz/blues style. Don't forget that piece made famous by drummer and showman Eric Delaney, "Manhattan Spiritual". This one features the drums and timpani. Oh, and I nearly forgot, "Presley in Mind no 2", including Love me Tender, Wooden Heart and Suspicious Minds. When my Mother was alive, and living in her home town of Haverfordwest in South West Wales, she ran the “Red Dragon Theatre Group” for children and teenagers. She constantly spoke about a girl who first started when she was at Primary School. My Mother helped her with her acting, singing, and also gave her elocution lessons. This young lady went on to study Performing Arts, and Graduated with a 1st Class Honours. Like many talented people, she attended many auditions, and, in her own words, was always the Bridesmaid, never the Bride. She sat in a London office doing telesales, constantly seeking her opportunity. When Andrew Lloyd Webber decided to run a Saturday Night Show on BBC1, where the public could vote for the young lady to play "Maria" in Lloyd Webbers new West End production of the Sound of Music, this young lady went for auditions, along with six thousand others! My Mother was known as Mrs P, and when she died on 20th September 2004, this young lady phoned my Dad in tears, saying that Mrs P would never see her in the West End. On 16th September, 2006, CONNIE FISHER won "How do you solve a problem like Maria". Next day, she visited my Mother’s grave. She left the flowers she had been wearing on her winning night, and left a note saying that although my Mother would not be there in person, she was sure that her spirit would be in the wings on her opening night.
