About Me

Likes: when people understand what I'm trying to say despite my limited vocabulary and tendency to not finish sentences -- otherwise people who are ok with my effortlessness (is that even a word?), chocolate, good news, smelling my puppies' ears and paws, soft shoes (not the dance; shoes that are well broken into), my very own strong legs, visiting my nieces and nephews, most ridiculous things, listening to a song on loop until I'm bored with it, sprinkling pepper on my ketchup, getting along with co-workers, and taking pride in being able to identify any scent or combination of odors.

Dislikes: taking things personally, getting the jibbles (aka: the willies, creeps, heebie-jeebies, jimjams, etc) in front of others, wasting time, death, books, insects in my apartment, commitment even though I'm severely annoyed by flaky people, when restaurants are out of whatever I want to order and I'd consider it their main dish (Yeah, Spaghetti Warehouse -- I'm talking to you!)

My Interests

perfoming and writing stand-up comedy, swimming, dancing, and biking

Music:

Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, Interpol, RJD2, The Go Team!, Rufus Wainwright, The Gapp Band, Common, LCD Soundsystem, and most old school hip-hop

Movies:

Gosh...so many. First of all, I'll watch just about any scary movie. Love scary movies. Other than that, here's some specific titles: Bottlerocket (all Wes Anderson films), Amelie, Dumbo, Drop Dead Fred, The Professional, A Nightmare on Elm Street (original), Dumb and Dumber, Fight Club, The Burbs, Fright Night, Bustin' Loose, Blast From the Past, The Shining, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Television:

AFV and Price is Right, if I can catch it. Back in the cable days: ATHF, Scare Tactics, The Jeff Corwin Experience, and Kenny Vs Spenny. Strangers With Candy, Three's Company, and UCB reruns are fun too.

Books:

Me Talk Pretty One Day -- by David Sedaris

Heroes:

My parents, David and Lisa.
