Dewey

Hi, my name is Dewey. Dewey Prescott The First. I'm a very big grey Russian Blue. I was found as a kitten in a PetsMart in Prescott Valley, AZ when my Mom & Dad were up from Tucson, visiting Dad's family. They had come in to get some dog treats and saw that there was a visiting animal shelter and of course, they had to come look at the animals. And the animals were kittens!!! My brothers and sister and I were all crammed into a cage, doing backflips and running around in circles trying to get out. The nice lady who was in charge of the shelter said that we had been dropped off by a woman from Skull Valley and my Mom said "We have to have a kitten from Skull Valley." Mom likes pirates a whole lot and Dad of course couldn't say no, especially not as I climbed up his leg...So, they snuck my back to my grandparents house and I lived in the bathroom until it was time to head back to Tucson, a three hour car ride, complete with two dogs and a kitten. Mom & Dad were worried I'd scream the whole way.Instead, I slept quietly. So, quietly that Mom decided I had to be woken up and taken out. So, I proceeded to run around the car and climb on their shoulders and they made me wave to passing truckers who would blow there horns for me.When we got home I was immediately taken in by all the other animals as the baby of the family, in fact, everyone still treats me like the baby in the family even though there's at least a half dozen animals that have been the baby since me.Sometimes the other cats call me a Momma's boy, but that's only because I'm the favorite (Editor's note: He's not the favorite, no one is, I love each animal exactly the same - Stephanie) and I sleep with my Mom and she carries me around and once when Mom & Dad were fighting over something stupid I jumped right up into my Mom's arms and meowed loudly enough that they both stopped arguing and started laughing. I still jump into her arms from time to time, without warning.And the strangest thing of all is that every time my Mom is sick, I get sick too... Like when she broke her toe off, I limped around the house or when she got pink eye from some dirty little kid, my eye got infected too...That's why I sometimes get called the "Magical Mystery Cat."
