Greetings everyone, my name is Autumn. Autumnal Equinox The First. I am the head feline matriarch of the household... I'm the eldest cat and have reigned as matriarch since the abdication of Vertigo Lillian The First, I'm sure we're all quite aware of her little "problem" and there's no need to make a fuss about it at this point and time...For reasons I can only describe as a coup of some sort, I was found as a wee small kitten in a garbage can with my brothers and sisters, no doubt some royal usurper threw us in there as an attempt at keeping me from claiming my rightful throne. Although my birth and kittenhood generated a small amount of public interest, no one could have predicted that I would one day become Queen. It was widely assumed that Vertigo would rule for life... But as I said... Yes, there's no need to trudge any of that unpleasantness back up...Luckily, I was rescued and educated at the home of my Mother, Stephanie. I studied history, the modern languages and music. As well, as the matters of defense and proper conduct for a cat that would represent the household in due time...After the Coronation, I went to work at once realigning the cat side of the family with the dog side of the family, finally working out a steady and well upheld peace treaty that we all could agree on, while working towards a fair and equal balance of feline and canine power in the household.... I've seen many a kitten grow up under my strict but fair tutelage, some of the greats, indeed... I've also ingrained the family name in the hearts and minds of all who have visited our fair kingdom and continue to be a highly respected head of state.And since I've long thought it wise to directly confront dramatic situations head on, I'll also share with you that I've long since recovered from the "tail incident." Yes, as you know doubt heard, my beautiful tail was slammed in a door by a crazed madman, severed and left for my poor grief stricken mother to find late one night... Terrible business that. But, luckily with the help of a well trained team of surgeons, my mother and I were able to put both the crazed madman and the missing tip of my tail behind us...For now, I continue my reign, caring for the other cats and reminding them of right from wrong with a swift paw and strong continence and when not working I enjoy moments in the sunshine and gazing out the window at my lands.
