7 amazing facts about Echolocation
( Or 7 things you never knew about Echolocation) :

Echolocation have a combined age of 238
Echolocation do not endorse any hair products
currently available on the market.
Echolocation are the most unpopular band in Leicester.
The members of Echolocation have all at one time or another
lived on or off, either Tudor Road, Narborough Rd or London Rd.
Between them Echolocation can play over 100 instruments and try
to squeeze all of these on to each track.
Shagability Factor less than 25% .
Echolocation are descended from legendary noise terrorists Chomsky and
local indie faves Bocca. Ex- singer sounds like him out of Curiosity Killed The Cat.
In real life Echolocation are actually all millionaires and just do it for
the love of the music, man.
I remember when your favourite reggae tune was 'Three Little Birds'.
I've got more reggae in my dick than they have in their collective vagina.

”Echolocation are one of those bands that have been about for a while and go about making their music quietly and although have a fine reputation arent part of the 'in-crowd'.
These are less about the look (although they have their own shabby style that Keroauc himself would be proud of) and more about the substance. They reminded us of The Fall in their attitude.
Great projected visuals, lovely horn playing and musical arrangements. They might not be the in crowd but we rather like these..”
The Tube Club
”Mature, multitextured, beautifully composed”
Vanity Press
“Wake Up Call is growly and frenetic
….and set-closer A Dog With Two Heads is
just great modern art rock”
alt.Leicester
”Echolocation-Wake Up Call... It's the direction the Dandy Warhols should've taken.”

haunted by fame music

echolocation based in Leicester but hailing from Sheffield, Bolton, London, Doncaster and Newcastle, have an embarrassment of riches on display.
Their collective CVs read like a roll of honour of critically acclaimed underground rock music. From Swiss Guards, Bocca, Chomsky, The Career Girls as well as solo projects to music, film, photography and architecture.

Echolocation were formed from the ashes of Leicester favourites Bocca in 2005.
Their exciting shows demonstrate a healthy cynicism for the world and they play an eclectic mix of songs, instrumentals and feature the beat poetry of Peter Ingram.
Their use of sound, different tunings and instumentation display a sonic invention which has been a key ingredient in the music of all the protaganists since most of them first met in the mid 90's, whilst playing with legendary noise terrorists Chomsky.
Guitarist and vocalist Harvey sharman-Dunn and Chinese violinist and keyboard maestro Alan Tang are given the freedom to explore sonic possibilities, especially on record, while bassist Andy Askey anchors the whole thing to the power house drumming of Dan Hessing.
As well as being exciting aurally many shows are bolstered with original and extraordinary visual projections made by HSD. There is a filmic quality to much of their music and they have already provided a number of soundtracks to short films.
This is no ordinary band owing as much to John Cage, Philip Glass and Steve Reich as they do to Iggy Pop, Greg Dulli and Mark E Smith. echolocation have attitude and swagger and are never content to take the easy route.
Tracks take in Punky Space anthems, depth charged rock and roll, "found sounds" and rhythms and beautiful instrumentals, all capturing that bewildering feeling of getting older in world that contracts at the same time that it appears to be expanding.
echolocation are a band that embrace technology and modernity yet have a soul, a conscience and a barely controlled anger brimming just below the surface ready to spew at anytime.

Sounds Like: Billy Pilgrim sounds AWESOME! A stone roses-esque guitar riff at the beginning, with a bit of a jam / the children organ twist. The best tune I've heard you guys do.
