Featuring male and female vocals, violin, guitar and gadgets, Khupera Tum achieves a groovy, magical sound. They describe themselves, depending on the time of day, as "the snow leopard swallowed the lounge lizard," "art-rock," "goth-jazz," "punk-funk" and "hip-hop-folk," while those who've seen them have compared them to everyone from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Sugar Cubes to Reinhardt/Grapelli and Monk/Trane.It doesn't matter how they're pegged or packaged, as long as they don't go to the butcher in the store, it's certain that they'll perform with passion and precision. So much so that some people, after seeing them perform, have asked whether or not Andrea and Darryl lip-sync!In May of 2008, they performed at Chicago's Looptopia All-Night Downtown Cultural Celebration where they came face to face with actor/comic Robin Williams. Previously, after K-Tum released their debut EP, Buzz magazine voted them one of the Top 5 Emerging Original Musical Acts in Chicago. Currently, they're working on their debut full length, slated for release in late 2008.
