Hi. My name is Chris "White" Brown. 2541 Studios is a unique convergence of my professional and my semi-professional life. By day it's video, at night it's audio. My nine-to-five existence is shooting and editing short and full-length documentaries for a Chicago-based production house. This job not only requires me to capture video and sound at the highest possible fidelity, while putting subjects at ease, but also involves spending many hours in a video editing suite assembling this media.
I think that these skills mesh nicely with my other life as a veteran of several rock and alt-country sorts of bands. I have a musician's ear for music and a journalist's commitment to getting it right. The Avid editing system I use by day is actually the software/hardware cousin to the Pro Tools music recording system in my studio. (Both are made by Digidesign). My Digi 002, Presonus pre-amps and and an arsenal of mics and other gear reside comfortably in a 500 square foot live room with a vaulted ceiling and isolation booth. I can record 16 tracks simultaneously up to a total of 32 tracks.
