..May Contain Nuts: The story so far...
May Contain Nuts are a punk rock band from Cardiff, Wales. They originally formed in January 2002 and spent their first couple of years gigging around South Wales. During that time they went through many line-up changes until late 2005, when they eventually became the four-piece they are today and spread out to play shows all around the UK.
Known by fans and friends for putting on very fast, energetic and entertaining stage shows, May Contain Nuts never disappoint live and always leave even the most miserable bastard with a smile on their face. Their songs are fast, melodic and extremely catchy and always get the audience dancing.
At the end of 2007, May Contain Nuts signed with Devon based label ‘SYWP Records’ and are releasing a brand new EP with them on May 19th 2008. The new EP, entitled “Land ho!†is being thought of as a new beginning for the band, with the songs on it being vastly superior to anything the band has done in the past.
To help promote its release, a European tour is currently being booked where the band will travel abroad to Germany, France and Holland for the first time.
To date, May Contain Nuts have played close to 250 shows around the UK supporting some big name bands including The Misfits, The Damned, RX Bandits and The Toasters.

"May Contain Nuts, what can I say boys? Worth waiting for! The maniacal punk band really showed us what we all were all meant to be there for; ENTERTAINMENT! I haven't watched a band as fun as this since I saw Reel Big Fish last year. If you get a chance to see these boys, do! I wish I could explain ... sort of a cross between Madness and Bert the chimney sweep from Mary Poppins (but thoroughly rocked up!)!!"

"If you can imagine what the Offspring would sound like if they grew some good old British cynicism and a surreal sense of showmanship, then you've got a fair idea. Known only by crazy nicknames (kind of reminiscent of the Muppets' Electric Mayhem Band), the guys make it their mission to confuse and amuse everyone who is watching. The singer Rev (I told you they were silly names!) uses his signature top hat to maximum effect, raising his eyebrows as he removes and replaces it to the beat and creasing people with laughter. That's when he's not involving the crowd in just the kind of idle banter that goes down so well in the Stones."

"A lot of people start a band as a joke. The difference with May Contain Nuts is they're so GOOD at it they have – probably inadvertently – become a credible band."

"Ferocious winners of the Offshore Music/LMS Battle of the Bands, one of the most genius groups to come out of Cardiff since the scene single handedly transformed welsh youth into walking haircuts. Imaginative, witty and more political than the Sunday show.

"New years eve, me and a load of friends decided to have a Game O' Legs at the end of the night.
We all got prepared and arranged all the sofas and chairs and put the disk in.
We played the song and began the game, forgetting everyone was wearing their shoes. My friend had just come back from work wearing his steal cap boots and anyway the game went on and as usual. Everyone started kicking each other. My friend got kicked in the shin with the steal capped boots and spent the night in hospital; the rest of us had bleeding bruises and couldn't walk the next day."
