Robolint are 5 piece band that can only be described as a mix of fast anthemic pop punk ska with occasional hardcorebreakdowns, with the onstage energy of Andrew WK (If your not familiar think of a human Duracell Bunny on acid!) thatcombined create a sound and show unlike any other band on the scene. The point of all this is pure and simple.. fun! As thesaying goes If the band are enjoying themselves so will the audience and Robolint use this to full effect. Robolint are alsoknown for their unique style of moshpit and for being the creators of whats known as "The Wiggle Pit!!". This basicallyinvolves getting the audience to lie down and go crazy with devestating effects!! (See the videos below for footage!)
We have been influenced by such diverse bands as The Ataris, Aquabats, Reel Big Fish, No Use For A Name, DashboardConfessional all the way to other end of the spectrum with bands like Slipknot, Dire Straits and Andrew WK.
We are an extremely hard working band and have played over 270 gigs across the UK since Robolint formed in 2003and have done another 50+ previous as our previous band Fluff Castle. We have toured the country numerous times with bandssuch as Fandangle, Effervescent and The Brighton Ska Bus Crew (Just Called Charlie, The Meow Meows,Second Time Lucky) and in2006 we completed a tour of Sweden with Stockholm based Ska/Reggae band "SkaNSka" and played at the Mad Caddies Festival inOllignes Belguim with one of Belguims biggest Ska/Punk band "The Wash Out Test". We also played in ireland (Northern andRepeublic) twice and played 3 shows with Heideroosjes (Epitaph Records) on our last visit.
We have played with big names such as Catch 22, Tsunami Bomb (R.I.P), The Damned, Mad Caddies, Against AllAuthority, Capdown, Big D and the Kids Table, Useless ID, The Beat, Neville Staple,MU330, Captain everything, Sonic Boom Six,Outl4w, The Buzzcocks, Bad Manners and alot more.
In September 2006 we signed with Party House Records, an indie label home to acts such as Fandangle and WorkinLunch. Through mass internet promotion and setting up of our own street team we have got our name spread around and have soldover 2000 copies of our 2 EP`s "I Wanna be Massive" and "Theres No Time For Messing, Theres Chicks To Be Undressing" and havehad over 77,000 hits on our website. Promotion is something we work very hard on and we have even gone to the lengths ofplaying outside of larger bands gigs (E.g Greenday, Less Than Jake etc.) to the queues outside with generator, drums and ampswhile our street team flyered and stickerd everyone they could. We have built a large fan-base and are gaining more and moreat each gig we play. In the Devon area we are one of the most well-known original bands. Our future plans are to try and gigas much as we possibly can around the country , promoting ourselves as much as humanly possible, were currently writing somenew songs for a new release for maybe early next year and we have plans to return to Belguim and Sweden for tours and alsoplans to venture to Germany and hopefully Holland in 2007
