Born in 1999 in Turin
During the five years of activity the band models, grazes and performs a very personal sound changing more often ways to mean and represent the sound of the band, starting up, in the first period, from claustrophobic crossover to nowadays definitively metal, extreme and evolved, of course without leaving the emotive vein that lead the atmosphere towards wider horizons. A kind of music influenced by bands such as Vison of Disorder, Deftones, Earthtone 9,Tool and Alice in Chains.
The notoriety of the band surfaces when, in 2003 the Mainline records a self-production out in September, recorded, mixed and master copied in collaboration with Daniele Giordana (sound engineer live of bands such as Biohazard, Hatebreed, Madball) at the “One Voice Rec†of Turin.
Thanks to this collaboration, the band decides to take advantage of the excellent production of the EP, starting to promote their work in Italy but above all abroad.
In the following months Neurasthenic is promoted all over Italy using all the possible media channels.(top demo on eutk.net/metalshock/rockhardand other webzines;80/100 on Lords of Metal, 78/100 on Metal Range in Holland,7/10 o Rock Sound,7/10 on Pshico,8/10 on RockHard).The Band gets the engagement form the belgian agency Hardebaran (bel..hol) that strongly promotes the Cd in all specialized magazines.
In The mainwhile the band gets in the Breed Agency booking & promotion (Ita) roster.
During the first six mounths of 2006 Mainline work hard for the first full lenght album (13 tracks included) at “Db Studiosâ€, in Turin; produced by Mainline and by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi, Slowmotion Apocalypse, Stigma). Due to this the band gets a deal of Worldwide distribution with the german label Dioxzion Records..Twilight (Ger), in collaboration with the italian label Myphonic records and the swiss label MetalFreak Records (Swi). The record will be in the stores on April 2007. During the last part of the great year 2006 Mainline had engaged by several supporting agencies, such as Crimson Tearz Management (Usa) and the german Promotion Agency Pirate Smile (Ger). The live activity from Mainline has been focused by the important featuring into events such as Chicobum Festival and side by side to:
Soil, Caliban, Maroon, Twelve Tribes, Raging Speedhorn, Deadlock, Cataract, Linea 77, Bridge to Solace, The Destiny Pogram, Fall of serenity, As we Fight, Crisis Never Ends, Leaving Eyes, Atrocity and more
The 2006 has been also characterized by Mainline’s great partecipation in two big summer tours who drive the band in Slovacchia, Austria, Swiss, Germany, England, Wales. Holland, Belgium and Italy.
The 2007 starts with new line up movements, Simone and Diego left the band due personal reason, while have been replaced by Flavio at the main guitar and Baru at the bass line. The year was spent around touring and promoting the new record for a while, but in the end of 2007 Mainline signed a new deal with the Uk label Glasstone Records (Evita, Young Hollywood). The beginning of 2008
will see the guys working on the brave new record.
