Evil Scarecrow

Release the Hell Dog!

About Me

Introducing the scariest thing to come out of Nottingham since Torvill and Dean...
Rising from the ashes of what was undoubtedly the greatest "Blue Peter Metal" band of their time - Thor's Children, Evil Scarecrow have gone on to leave audiences awed by their Iron Maiden meets Black Metal meets stickyback plastic performances.
It is Evil Scarecrow’s impressive song writing and ingenious lyrics that are the key to their success, blending together humour with their love for all things Heavy Metal… though of course a bit of co-ordinated dancing never hurt anyone! It is this passion and enthusiasm which never fails to connect with their audience.
“This excellent little maidenesque group from Nottingham may have one tongue firmly in cheek… but they still rock.” Metal Hammer
CROWCIFICTION
Their debut album “Crowcifiction” captured some of the band's unique charisma on CD. With influences from artists such as Cradle Of Filth, Slayer, Europe and of course Immortal's make up application techniques, you can never be too sure what will be served up next, but that's just part of the experience.
Re-recorded and re-released in 2006, “Crowcifiction” contains 8 epic tracks which are a fitting introduction to Evil Scarecrow and were a suitable way to unleash their presence on the world.
“…“Morbid Witch” in particular is a bloody infectious number, which has had me cackling “Morbid Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch” under my breath like some Special Brew soaked vagrant for days.” Live4Metal
HELL DOG EP
On 13th January 2007 Evil Scarecrow released their new, self produced E.P. which includes some of their latest tracks alongside the already established favourite “Hell Dog”. This follow up to “Crowcifiction” sees the band pushing themselves further musically, a reflection of the confidence gained from the growing support they’ve received from fans and the music press.
Almost 200 people attended the EP release party at the famous Rock City venue in Nottingham, a very welcoming reception for the Hell Dog! The event was a huge success and the EP was very well received.
“... enjoyable music and entertaining, daft humour.” Powerplay
THE LIVE CROW!
The band continue to gig wherever possible, and are constantly working on new material. Wherever they go they capture the hearts of unsuspecting metallers, so make sure you catch one of their live shows soon!
“Praise be, then, for Evil Scarecrow…Novelty bands don't last long on stage, everyone's tired of the joke by the third song in. Evil Scarecrow break the mould by being damned competent musicians as well as piss funny.” The Rock City Review
Both CROWCIFICTION and HELL DOG are available from the Evil Scarecrow shop at:
