REVIEWS
HARD ROCK HAVEN (USA)....review of "Natural Disaster", "Krueger", "Death By Lightning"...."the vocals....seem a tad American - the music is rooted deeper in NWOBHM grooves, the solos seem almost Maiden-esque at times, and the drums are pounding and expert. All in all, just call them Fury UK".
ROCK INDUSTRY MAGAZINE....gig review, February 2007...."obvious we were watching no ordinary band....Death By Lightning, an assault of a song with only a short pause for calm in the middle eight. The guitar solo in this is awe-inspiring & probably resulted in further mosh-neck for the rapturous crowd of headbangers".
VAULT MAGAZINE in the USA has done an awesome 3 page review/feature on the "My Tomorrow" album in the current issue (January 2007). Go purchase a copy to see for yourself. Special thanks to Randy Blake II for his work on this....here's a quick quote from the review...."no gimmicks or un-needed bullshit, just plugged-in, turned-up & thrown-in-your-face metal".
FURY UK HAVE ALSO BEEN FEATURED AT MUNDO ROCK WEBZINE, & METAL REBEL WEBZINE RECEIVING 9/10 & 4.5 STARS RESPECTIVELY FOR THE "MY TOMORROW" ALBUM. ALSO HARDROCKHOUSE.COM WHO'VE DONE A NEAT REVIEW OF THE CAMDEN GIG ON THE GLYDER TOUR. THERE'S ALSO A FAN REVIEW IN THE "20 YEARS OF REIGN IN BLOOD" EDITION OF METAL HAMMER & LATER A METAL HAMMER REVIEW OF THE "MIST N DARKNESS" CD. HERE'S SOME EXTRACTS FROM THOSE REVIEWS :-
"The voice of the two singers gets together in a very particular way in "Hear no evil" ....imagine Bret Michaels and Jon Bon Jovi singing together....this is how I hear it....Recommended? Of course!"....Lucas Gordon, Mundo Rock
"The sound and the type of the band evoke that golden time at which the Heavy really reigned Metal, at the hands of bands like Iron Maiden (first years of course), Diamond Head, Angelwitch, Tokyo Blade etc....vocalist Chris Appleton has much of the well-known Paul DÃ Anno or James Hetfield....Heavy Metal full of infectious Old School, "Alarms" begins with devastating means...."a classic air that Fury evokes very well....other killer songs like "Mist n Darkness", "Lynx", "Mercenaries" or the infectious "Ultra Virus"....is it worth the trouble to spend some money on this work? Absolutely YES!!!!!"....Miguel Ramirez, Mundo Rock Radio Station
"Ace gig at Life Cafe Manchester last night. FURY UK were fantastic; brilliant guitarist & vocalist. Best three-piece rock metal band I have seen in years."....METAL HAMMER JUNE 2006, fan review
"Riffs, guitar solos, attitude and a 3 piece to boot, bloody marvellous. They certainly had the penthouse suite in Terror Tower rockin' hard, heavy and animal and didn't the rest of the block know it!"....Krusher (the after show party band at The BIG BALL, Wrexham)
"FURY (UK) are a hard rock/metal trio from Manchester, whose focus is clearly the guitar - pinching more harmonics than Zakk Wylde on an instrumental. The single-tracked mid-tempo guitar thunders along heavily, and an Anselmo-alike gruff vocal attack is almost only ornamental placed either side of the amazing guitar work. That said, there are some nice riffs in evidence that keep the extravagant solos in check, and some perfect little hard rock breakdowns to keep the rhythms varied and the songs interesting. A well executed and interesting start. [7 out of 10]"....Metal Hammer August 2006
